Pretty in Pink

Today's card was made primarily for two challenges. The first one being the Pink Something challenge at Stamp Something challenge blog, and Challenge #107 Mono Mania at Cute Card Thursday.

Since the Stamp Something challenge prize is being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, I decided to use one of the free images Tracey provided over on Splitcoast Stampers. I find her Audrey stamps to be a welcome alternative to all the Magnolia Mania, so definitely check her out if you haven't already.

Materials used:

Digi stamp: Audrey with Pleated Dress - The Stamping Boutique
Sentiment stamp: Studio G

Cardstock: DCWV Pastel Stack, GP white
DP: Pink Gingham - Paper Pizazz, Brooke Paisley - Making Memories, Hearts - DCWV Spring Stack 2009.

Simply the Blues

Today's card was made with three specific challenges in mind. Challenge #96 at Friday Sketchers and Challenge #53 Color Combo at Digital Tuesday Challenge; The color combo was to be blue & white + 1 other color, my other color being the strip of brown ribbon, and Challenge #28 - Digi Girl at Kaboodle Doodles.
I've kept the card simple and have not added a sentiment as I'm not sure what I may use this for in the future.

DP: DCWV Spring stack 2008, stash, Blue Daisies-Colorbok

Squiggle Stamps April prize challenge

For the Squiggle Stamps challenge, which is a sketch, I chose their digi stamp Daisy with Flowers from the Oscar and Daisy line. I love how round their heads are, they remind me of Fisher Price Little People.

I didn't have to do too much dithering about which papers to use because all of the DPs are from the DCWV Linen Closet stack. All of the prints are dreamy, so it only came down to picking 5.

I finally broke down and bought a Nestabilites die and got to use it for the first time with this card. I must say it is really nice to be able to cut out the image with the die rather than cutting a shape, then having to cut my digi stamped image carefully to glue to the shape. I'm sure there must be a way to cut digi stamps with the Cricut, but I'm afraid my image would never be centered.

Materials used:

Stamp: Squiggle Stamps Digi Daisy with Flowers, Sentiment - Bird's cards free digi
Cardstock: DCWV, GP white
DP: DCWV Linen Closet
Brads: Recollections
Flowers: Uchida Daisy punch, Leaves: Cricut using Make-the-cut software
Pearls: Ebay

For the Prettiest Princess...

Today's card has been commissioned by my daughter for one of her friends. I believe this friend is turning 19....and is a boy(man???) o_O. Apparently this person's friends like to tease him about being the prettiest princess, it's all in good fun and totally not a bullying scenario.

The flowers were made from cardstock cut out with my Cricut in the shape of a 6 petal flower, then coated with glitter nail polish, they look all sparkly in person, not so much in the photos. Lots of stickles on the images and around the border for some more glittery goodness. I've used Daisy Dance Unicorn from Meljen's Designs along with a free Happy Birthday sentiment, also from Meljen's Designs.

Materials Used:

Stamps: Daisy Dance Unicorn, Happy Birthday - Meljen's Designs
Cardstocks: Core'dinations Wisteria, The Paper Company, GP
DP: K&Company Floral Dreams
Ribbon: Offray purple and pink satin, Stash pink ribbed.
Flowers: Handmade with Paper Company paper
Leaves: Cricut with Make-the-Cut software
Charm: Clair's
Border Punch: Fiskar's Threading Water
Butterfly: Joann's
Studio G purple ink
Stickles
Sally Hansen Dazzle Frost nail polish
Colored with Sharpie markers.
